The BGPD program provides a variety of courses to meet your professional development and certification needs. In this edition, there are a number of newly constructed classes and some extended versions of our most popular and highest rated sessions from our October 11th PLD day. This year we have two Professional Learning Days (PLD) to support professional development taken outside of the contractual work day. The fall BGPD Schedule of Classes advertised 14 hours of available PLD. In order to improve the BGPD compensation process, PLD payouts occur semi-annually. Classes in this edition of the Schedule of Classes will be paid out in July. More information can be found in the Certificated Compensation section of the Schedule of Classes. Classes in the BGPD Spring 2020 Schedule of Classes run from February through early May. All classes will take place at the Lewisville Campus or the CASEE A Staff Development Room. Thank you for your continued participation in and support of our BGPD program. With much respect, David Kennedy Director of Professional Learning New to the spring edition of the catalog are courses incorporating online components to better meet your needs and fit your busy schedule. All of these online and hybrid courses have been fully vetted by our BG Clock Hour Committee to ensure compliance with our BGPD course standards. We have three fully online courses featured in the catalog that provide participants the flexibility to learn at their own pace outside of the contractual work day. In addition, there are two hybrid online STEM courses that incorporate traditional in-person training opportunities with online components. Please see the online feature section on pages 6-7 for more information. We hope that these are welcome additions to our robust BGPD course offerings. Two changes have occurred since the fall catalog: TPEP is now HQI (High-Quality Instruction), and there is an added online category in purple. Classes are organized into seven categories. WHAT'S NEW
