In this class we explore 3 dimensional Computer Aided Drafting & Design (CADD) for the beginner. We use Rhino modeling software as the primary program, but other programs are also available for exploration. All programs use industry software, yet they are easy to learn and fun to use. Animation I Course Code: VTI121 State Code: 10202 Schools: BGHS only Grades: 9-12th Length: Semester Credit: 0.5 Course Fee: None Prerequisite: Requires Internet Release Form Graduation Requirement: Fine Art or Occupational Course Designation: CADR This class will focus on the history, and construction of 3D animation. Students will work individually and collaboratively to create animation projects ranging from simple choreographies to B-Spline models. The main software used will be Animation Master. The class will consist of lectures and projects. It is recommended that students have a strong interest in creating and producing animation projects. The class will also view examples of Animation from its inception to the modern age. Animation II Course Code: VTI131 State Code: 10202 Schools: BGHS only Grades: 9-12th Length: Semester Credit: 0.5 Course Fee: None Prerequisite: Animation and Signed Internet Release Form Graduation Requirement: Fine Art or Occupational Course Designation: CADR The purpose of this course is to develop the concepts taught in Animation. The student will work individually and in groups. The course will cover materials, lighting, constraints, composing and modeling. Students will be responsible for designing, implementing and meeting deadlines on student designed projects. Art Exploration Course Code: ART041 State Code: 05151 Schools: PHS, CAM, SVHS Grades: 9-12th Length: Semester Credit: 0.5 Course Fee: Yes Prerequisite: None Graduation Requirement: Fine Art Course Designation: CADR Students will explore a variety of art projects. They will learn how to produce original works in a variety of media, art criticism, history, and aesthetics will be included. Elements and principles of design will be introduced. Art History Course Code: ART022 State Code: 05152 Schools: BGHS, PHS Grades: 10-12th Length: Semester Credit: 0.5 Course Fee: None Prerequisite: None Graduation Requirement: Fine Art Course Designation: CADR A general survey course studying various periods of art from prehistory to contemporary times with the emphasis on art criticism, history and aesthetics. Learn the signifi- cance of art throughout time and its place in society today. Learn to understand and appreciate various aspects of art. Art Special Projects Course Code: ART099 State Code: 05197 Schools: RHL, SVHS Grades: 9-12th Length: Semester Credit: 0.5 Course Fee: None Prerequisite: None Graduation Requirement: Fine Art or Elective Course Designation: CADR This class is meant to extend the learning accomplished in either Digital Fine Arts, Digital Photography, Fashion and/ or Studio Fine Arts. This class is based on student-driven, independent projects and students will present a Project Portfolio of work done in class and outside of class for Fine Arts credit.
