Students will listen, speak, read and write in Spanish and learn about culture, geography and history of countries where people speak the language. Students must complete verbal and written work, practice nightly, memorize vocabulary, participate in group activi- ties and make presentations. Connections: Students will make connections with other subject areas and acquire information. Comparisons: Students will develop insight into the nature of language and culture by comparing the student's own language and culture to another. Communities: Students will participate in communities at home and around the world using Spanish.
