Superintendent's message Focusing on our core mission Battle Ground Public Schools welcomed approximately 12,000 students and 1,300 staff members back to school this fall. This school year we are excited to focus more intently on our core mission: educating our students to prepare them for a successful future. Battle Ground Public Schools also has been working with our stakeholders to develop a new strategic plan that will guide our work in the coming years. Our Citizens Advisory Committee, comprised of more than 30 parents and community members f rom a multitude of business, municipal and faith-based roles, was involved in much of the core work to develop the plan. We also gathered input f rom staff, families, the community and the school board. We are thrilled with the results and believe that the plan clearly identifes our stakeholders' priorities for the district: A safe and caring environment, high-quality instruction and collaboration that cultivates trust. You can learn more about our strategic plan on our website. This annual report summarizes recent and ongoing work to achieve these priorities, including test scores, efforts to reduce and prevent bullying, facility upgrades to improve school safety and information about our budget. As always, we welcome your input. Please reach out to us. We want to hear f rom families and community members. Partnerships with our stakeholders are valuable. Thank you for your support.
