Federal ARP ESSER funds have been used to reopen schools and sustain safe operations while meeting students' academic, social, emotional and mental health needs. As of September 2022, Battle Ground Public Schools has used $7.4 million in ARP ESSER funds** to help pay for school support, counselors, contact tracers, COVID isolation room attendants, paraeducators, summer school teachers, staff professional development, instructional technology, curriculum, school food, custodians, personal protection equipment and learning recovery resources and supplies. **ARP ESSER funds are not an ongoing source of revenue.
