When registering online specific directions are readily available for your class location by clicking on the location site and will also appear on your receipt when printed. Please ask for directions when registering in person. 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm 6 sessions starting September 3, 2015 6 sessions starting October 22, 2015 beginning & intermediate guitar Ages 10 and up 350216 This class will cover technique, chords progressions, note reading skills. This class is designed to progressively enable you to confidently play the guitar. If you follow the lesson plan in this class and practice regularly provided from the lessons from the book, you will develop a solid foundation and good habits that will give you all the skills you will need to enjoy playing the guitar. We will experience Rock in Roll in the order it happened, decade by decade, year by year, month by month. Vintage band photo's important events in music history and how it affected social politics. This class will have films, listening, and archive photos presented. They will develop their gross motor skills and imagination through creative movement. Tap dance, stretching, and basic ballet terms will be included. Class will end on a fun note with some basic tumbling. A popularized form of folk dancing in Ireland, céili dancing is a social group dance similar in form to square dance, but similar in style to the popular Riverdance. The class is designed to be as low or high impact as any individual would want, offering a good aerobic workout or simply a fun time. (Prefer parental supervision to children under ten). Boys and girls will increase their volleyball skills and abilities through team play. This is a fun volleyball league where players will learn basic skills and rules for playing the game of volleyball. Practices are during the week and games are on Saturdays in Vancouver at Pleasant Valley Middle School. The course prepares young adolescents for the profound responsibilities of nurturing and protecting children. Participants learn about babysitting as a business, success on the job, child care essentials, safety for the sitter, injury management, preventing problem behavior, care of choking infant, and care of choking child. This course will cover adult/child/infant CPR, AED, and Basic Emergency First Aid, such as choking, control of bleeding, and managing shock.
