GUIDE TO LONG-RANGE FACILITIES PLAN | 5 PROJECT CATEGORY PHASE 3: 2028-2033 PROJECT DESCRIPTION [*QUALIFIES FOR STATE ASSISTANCE] Replacement & Renovation *Replace Battle Ground High School. *Renovate Yacolt Primary. *Renovate Captain Strong Primary. New Facilities *Expand third high school. Expansion of high school would be based on enrollment and demonstrated need. Construct additional school buildings based on enrollment growth, housing developments, and educational needs. DISTRICT UPGRADES Capital Renewal Projects Replace carpet and flooring where needed. Update district office space if warranted. Replace roofs on Daybreak, Tukes Valley, Chief Umtuch and Amboy schools. Replace HVAC at Daybreak, Tukes Valley, Chief Umtuch and Amboy schools. Safety and Technology Update doors, windows, entrances, pedestrian walkways, lighting, fencing and parking lots as needed. Educational Enhancements Continue to update classrooms and community spaces to meet educational standards, teaching practices, project-based learning, and integrated curriculum. This could include shared spaces, updated furniture, use of walls, office space, and specialized classrooms. Athletic Upgrades TBD PROJECT CATEGORY PHASE 2: 2022-2027 PROJECT DESCRIPTION [*QUALIFIES FOR STATE ASSISTANCE] Replacement & Renovation *Replace or Modernize Maple Grove/River HomeLink Buildings. New Facilities *Construct third comprehensive high school. Several options exist for a third high school including multiphased construction: building a smaller facility with design and planning that would allow for additional construction to meet enrollment needs over time and take funding options into consideration. Location to be determined. *Construct K-4, 5-8 Campus to relieve overcrowding in the district and meet new enrollment. OR *Construct K-4 campus in Amboy & 5-8 campus in Yacolt. DISTRICT UPGRADES Capital Renewal Projects Replace carpet and flooring where needed. (Consider Captain Strong, Amboy, Tukes Valley, Daybreak, Chief). Safety and Technology Upgrade school main entrances and offices of buildings not listed in Phase 1 or set for replacement with additional doors and card reader access to control building access and improve student and staff safety. Update doors, windows, entrances, pedestrian walkways, lighting, fencing, and parking lots as needed. Educational Enhancements Continuation of CTE classroom upgrades to meet industry standards. Continue to update classrooms and community spaces to meet educational standards, teaching practices, project-based learning and integrated curriculum. Athletic Upgrades Consider current primary and middle school play fields maintenance. PHASE III: 2028–2033 DISTRICT CONSIDERATIONS ■ ■ Continue planning for Phase IV: 2034-2039 and Phase V: 2040-2045 based on enrollment growth and housing developments. Begin planning Phase VI: 2046-2051. ■ ■ Update current facilities to meet national best practices for safety standards, technology integration, and educational environment. PHASE II: 2022–2027 DISTRICT CONSIDERATIONS ■ ■ Continue planning for Phase III: 2028-2033 and Phase IV: 2034-2039 based on enrollment growth and housing developments. Begin planning Phase V.
